I was impressed last night. I had very few ‘OMG that is hideous’ moments. Better yet I had so many ‘OMG I love it’ moments that it was hard to keep track. Here’s a run down of my fave looks (that weren’t yellow) from last night’s red carpet;
Heidi Klum – the Project Runway host might be dealing with a nasty divorce so maybe that’s why she went for full on glam last night, but the supermodel looked AMAZING in her light blue light blue Alexandre Vauthier dress. The colour was perfect on her and I prefer her hair down and natural than when it’s pulled back and more severe. Somewhere Seal is kicking himself.
Edie Falco – I have a soft spot for black and white together – to me when it’s done right it’s perfection and Edie Falco did it so right last night. I love the cut of the dress, I love the dramatic front and the white back, I love her hair. I want this dress!
Elizabeth Moss – I don’t love the dress, I’m not going to lie. I don’t hate it but it’s the hemline in the front I don’t like. What I love is Elizabeth Moss’s hair. The blonde works on her so well she just looks amazing. I don’t understand however why E! ran a shot of her on the red carpet while interviewing her ex-husband Fred Armisen. Awkward.
Tina Fey – I love Tina Fey especially when she doesn’t wear black. And I love that she brought out the girls.
Amy Peohler – There are not enough words to describe how much I girlcrushed on Amy Poehler last night. Amy recently announced her separation from her husband Will Arnett. I’m not sure if I expected Amy to play it more safe on the red carpet but I definitely didn’t expect her to bring the girls. I love the look though and I’m so happy she did.
Jessica Lange – Thank God this woman laid off the botox! She actually looked like she had mobility in her face! I did love the dress though and loved that she was bold enough to wear such a bright colour.
Lucy Liu – I know a lot of people didn’t like Lucy’s metallic dress, but Lucy pulled it off. I mean she has a stunning figure so she’d look amazing in anything but I love how this dress looks on her. You can tell she’s a bit of a badass. The clutch is amazing too.
Julianna Margulies – I love this dress, from the colour to the fit to the fact that it has pockets. So beautiful!
Gretchen Mol – I love love love Gretchen’s red gown so much. Even though I find her character on Boardwalk Empire super creepy. Let’s remember her from Rounders instead, ok?
