While I called Meryl Streep to take home the gold statuette I was surprised that duJardin managed to take down Clooney to win the best actor award. But I’m happy he did. Jean looks like he was truly deserving of the award while every time I watch George Clooney on screen I just think that I’m watching George Clooney.
Meryl Streep looked lovely in her gold Lanvin gown – possibly looking like she was channelling Oscar. It worked for her though – can’t say the same for George’s lovely date.
I know a lot of people loved Octavia Spencer’s Tadashi Shoji gown but I wasn’t really a fan. I really loved Octavia in The Help but thought she could have gone a bit sexier for the red carpet.
