Brad Pitt is the first ever man to be the spokesperson for Chanel’s iconic fragrance Chanel No.5, and today the fashion house released the first ad starring the actor. And I am rolling my eyes. Hard. And also stifling my laughter, because this video is ridiculous.
I did a quick online search and everyone is talking about how ‘sexy’ and ‘sultry’ Brad is in this video, but all I can think of is how cheesy it is and how cheesy he looks doing it. Even the script is ridiculously cheesy with lines like ”It’s not a journey, every journey ends and we go on. Wherever I go, there you are.” “My luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No. 5. Inevitable.”
Come on! I was even a bit uncomfortable watching the video because I was just a little embarrassed for him! It totally reminded me of one of those Japanese commercials big name actors do because they pay them tons of money and they’re never seen in North America so they don’t really care what they look like except this one is seen in North America and he looks ridiculous. Please ladies, tell me you don’t find this sexy?
Cannot wait to see the SNL parody of this one!

Wow. He was trying too hard…the only part that was even *remotely* attractive was when they come back to him at the end and he says inevitable. The light around him stopped moving, he stopped wiggling, and didn’t look scared. lol just. Wow…

He’s sexy, but it made me gag. They should do one of those videos where he is silent and holds up signs with words on them like, Wear. Chanel 5. And. I. Will. Do. You.

I’m with you! I had to suppress laughter when watching this (although I don’t know why since I was home alone). It’s so dramatic but in all the wrong ways.
