Last night was the world premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman in London and both Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart went very dark – almost gothic – on the red carpet. I like that they’ve almost coordinated their dresses but I’m not actually a huge fan of either of them.
Kristen is wearing a Marchesa gown and I’m not a fan. Marchesa almost always looks like a skating dress to me and I can totally see someone wearing something very similar to this on the ice. In fact my daughter competed against a girl who skated to ‘Black Swan’ this year wearing something very similar to this. Kristen is so gorgeous but she always looks like she’d rather be in a t-shirt and jeans than a gown.
Charlize Theron on the other hand could pull off a paper bag if she had to, and there’s no doubt she looks stunning in this Christian Dior couture gown, but there’s something about it I just don’t love. Maybe it’s the shape that it’s cutting on her. I don’t know, but I know I don’t love it. And Charlize just looks like she oozes bitchiness, doesn’t she? But in a good, like you do not mess with Charlize Theron.
Snow White and the Huntsman premieres in North America on June 1st and is definitely a movie I want to go see. I just really hope that Kristen Stewart isn’t so annoying in it. Also – I had a reader comment on Charlize being cast as Elena in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Brilliant, no?
