Hollywood is once again remaking a classic cult film(why I don’t know) and has cast the lead in the remake of the Stephen King’s ‘Carrie.’ The role, played in the original by Sissy Spacek, has gone to Chloe Moretz, who you might remember from her role in Kick Ass. She can also be seen in the upcoming ‘Dark Shadows‘.
Chloe just tweeted out the following;
Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!
She then linked to a Deadline article that talks about the movie. It also says that it had been looking at other actresses like Dakota Fanning before eventually deciding to go with Moretz.
The original garnered Spacek an Oscar nod for her role – somehow I don’t see Moretz turning in the same kind of performance, but I could be wrong.
Here’s Moretz last night at The Metropolitan Opera House for the premiere of Jules Massenet’s ‘Manon’ looking very much like she’s ready for her close up. Is this what 15 looks like now?
