I just came across this trailer for the movie ‘Struck by Lightening‘ starring Glee cast member Chris Colfer and current Hollywood ‘it’ girl Rebel Wilson and since I had heard nothing about it I decided to google it and then I found out that Colfer not only stars in the movie but he also wrote it. Basically the movie is about Colfer’s character, Carson Phillips, who is struck and killed by lightening in the opening scene of the movie. The movie is basically Colfer telling the audience how he blackmailed his classmates into writing for the literary magazine that he created in an attempt to get into Northwestern.
This movie has a really great cast. Joining Colfer and Wilson are Allison Janney as Colfer’s mom in a role that is slightly reminiscent of her role in Juno, Dermot Mulroney, Christina Hendricks and Modern Family star Sarah Hyland. I’ve watched the trailer 3 times already and each time I watch it I like it more. Check it out below.
