Gwen Stefani Is 42

Gwen Stefani and her band No Doubt have reunited.  They have a new album out in September and today they performed as part of the Good Morning America Concert Series.  Gwen Stefani is 42 years old. 42. And she looks good.  Earlier today I showed you Jennifer Lopez in her new music video.   Jennifer Lopez is 43 years old. Suddenly I’m not so afraid to turn 40 (I’m still seriously afraid).  Because seriously – if this is what the forties look like, sign me up!

The thing with Gwen, which I find the same for JLo, is that they book look so natural. Maybe there’s been botox, or surgery, or some other kind of enhancements but if there are, they’re very minimal. And very expensive.  Both of these women are mothers though, and while I will admit we rarely see JLo with her kids and I hear that her twins have been holy terrors during her concert tour, Gwen is constantly seen out with her boys.  She seems like a pretty devoted mom who spends as much free time with her kids as possible – so it’s not like she’s in a gym 24/7 working on her fitness. She’s at the park, and at the beach, and taking holidays with her kids.  Sure she’s rich and famous and has access to more than us normal women do,  but I can’t take away from her the fact that she just looks awesome.

I’ll take being JLo and Gwen and their fab 40′s over Kristen Stewart and her stupid 20′s  any day.
