Even though she’s smack dab in the middle of what is probably going to be one of the messiest celebrity divorces in a long time, Katie Holmes is still trying to keep some semblance of normalcy for her daughter Suri. And for her that normal includes taking Suri out for some late night ice cream. Katie and Suri were spotted out in NYC last night getting a treat.
The rumour mill has been kicked into overdrive ever since Katie blindsided Tom with her divorce filing and I have a feeling that we haven’t heard the worst yet. I can only imagine how batshit crazy the church of Scientology, as well as Tom Cruise, are going right now knowing that they couldn’t convert Katie. And not only could they not convert her but that she’s basically gone rogue now. They might have had enough influence to make Nicole Kidman walk away from her children but it’s obvious that Katie Holmes is not letting anyone get their hands on her daughter without one hell of a fight. According to RadarOnline.com;
“Bella and Connor are devoted to their father and Scientology, and Katie saw this firsthand, and this is one of the reasons she filed for sole custody. Katie will not be relegated to a secondary role in her daughter’s life, period, and she is prepared to fight Tom in court. Katie is playing it very, very smart too. In the words of Lainey Gossip, Katie is a baller and she has a lot more game than any of us thought she had. I love that Joey Potter is making an appearance in the divorce of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise!
For now Tom is still filming his movie in Iceland and Katie is acting as though business is usual. Hopefully for the sake of Suri the two of them can keep this divorce civil, but I doubt that’s going to happen.
