OK so let’s not lie and pretend we all haven’t been anxious to see what Kristen Stewart was going to do on her first red carpet since the whole cheating scandal that changed twihard lives everywhere happened. As far as scandals go this one was pretty big and with the upcoming release of the Breaking Dawn Part 2 you knew that she was going to have to start making public appearances soon since Summit is going to insist that she be there to promote Twilight. And how awkward would it be for her to have to step out for the first time to promote the movie that co-stars the boyfriend that she cheated on with her ex-director?
Last night Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet at the TIFF premiere of her upcoming movie On The Road and she looked good – she didn’t look like she was trying to fly under the radar at all. She wore a long-sleeved black lace dress by Zuhair Murad that was definitely not a ‘safe’ choice but maybe a bit more feminine and conservative than some of the other red carpet looks she’s worn in the past. The hair down and to the side was feminine but still fashionable, and the makeup was lighter and not so severe. She looked a little nervous at first but seemed to be a bit more relaxed as the fans in the crowd shouted their support for her. TIFF has to be the safest place to make your first red carpet appearance after a scandal because after all, Canadians are so nice and polite no on would have called her out. But she still looked like she was ready to get back at it – like it’s over and it’s done and it’s time for everyone to move along already.
I just really can’t wait for the Breaking Dawn promo tours to start. Is it bad that I really want them to get back together already and present a united front for the all the Twihards? OMG can you imagine how insane they would be if they walked the red carpet for the premiere hand in hand?! I hope this happens!
