I mean, of course she does. She’s 19 years old. At 19 you have a very idealized vision of what forever looks like, and you really, really want to have that big rock on your hand to show off to the world. There’s really no feeling quite like it. In Miley’s interview with Marie Claire magazine, in which she appears on the September issue’s cover. When asked about what she thought of critics who say she’ll inevitably end up divorced, Miley says;
“Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement.”
So really, she wanted a nice piece of jewellery but she’s really in no rush to actually get married. Hey I don’t blame her – I appreciate nice rings just as much as the next girl, but she is only 19 years old which I do think is way too young – especially in Hollywood to be planning a wedding. I like that she’s at least not in a rush to get to the altar.
Miley, who really is looking fabulous these days but does seem to a lot older than her 19 years also talks about her engagement ring and her hottie fiancé
Miley on the ring:
“I had no input. We’d been kind of talking about getting engaged…I saw it online at one point and thought it was really pretty…I just love that it’s old and has a story. And I’m happy because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”On her relationship with Liam:
“Liam and I have a really good relationship…neither of us is super-jealous. We know each other and would never do anything to hurt each other.”
