Have you been watching Revenge this season? You know, I’m gonna say that ABC really screwed up last year by having such a big hiatus during the first season. I started watching the show and loved it, and then it went on hiatus for like, 2 months! Then I never found my way back to it. I haven’t watched at all this season either since I think it’s on at the same time as Dexter and I refuse to miss that show! It’s a shame really, because I really enjoyed watching Revenge.
Revenge star Emily VanCamp sat down with GQ to dish on growing up in Canada, the difference between The Hamptons and The Muskokas and never knowing when the paparazzi are taking her picture. You can check out the full interview online, but here’s a few excerpts;
…on whether Canada has an equivalent to The Hamptons…
VanCamp: Probably the cottage scene in Muskoka. You don’t have the same glitz and glamour as the Hamptons, but it’s definitely on the higher end. And it gets rowdy—but in a Canadian way. They’re drinking Moosehead instead of champagne, which is more my style anyways. I mean, I grew up playing hockey.
…on playing her character in Revenge…
“Yeah, I always feel like I’m playing a character when I’m in a beautiful dress, with my hair coiffed. I like getting down and dirty. It’s really fun. There’s nothing better than setting an asshole’s house on fire. It’s those moments when I think “I love my job!”
…on being a self-professed tomboy…
“Definitely. I did ballet, which taught me how to be poised and graceful, but still, to this day I’d rather be fishing than going to some glamorous party. It’s so therapeutic.”…on how awesome Canada is…
“Yeah, I miss it a lot. It’s so quaint, and there’s never some weird person hiding in the bushes in my hometown. I could see myself moving back. It’s just so mellow.”
