So I was on twitter when I saw PopCrush tweet out the link to this video that some Justin Bieber fan did where she parody’s Carly Rae Jepson’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ (who hasn’t parodied that song?) when I saw the link to the first parody video this fan did. I guess Justin held a contest where he asked fans to re-work his song ‘Boyfriend’ to be ‘Girlfriend’ in honour of his latest fragrance called ‘Girlfriend’. What this girl submitted was pure genius.
First of all let me just say that I love that Justin Bieber actually has teenage girl fans capable of doing something as ridiculously clever as this video and not just being some annoying teen girl threatening other teen girls for disrespecting The Biebs. Second of all – this is just amazing. The lyrics ‘ask all about your past and facebook stalk you too’ – awesome. Honestly the best thing I’ve seen all day.
I’ve also attached her Carly Rae Jepson parody for fun as well, although it’s not as good as the ‘Boyfriend’ parody.
