Oh so it begins. The boys of One Direction were surrounded by fans as they landed at Heathrow Airport from New Zealand today and they looked pretty excited to be recognized. Clearly they haven’t been popular for too long to be jaded and to brush off the tweens crying and waiting to catch a glimpse. In fact all of the boys seemed quite happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
I have a diehard Harry Styles fan in my house. My daughter is 10 and it’s so cute to watch her moon over him even though I want to tell her that he has bad hair and teenage acne. I know it won’t help though because I had Jordan Knight and now she has Harry Styles. And they’re totally grooming Harry to be ‘the’ boy in the band, right? Even though Zayn is better looking, and Liam seems to headline a bit more of the songs, but Harry is the one all the girls seem to love. For now anyway.
One Direction is touring Canada next year and so far they’ve only booked Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver with no Ottawa stop in there, but local radio station Hot 89.9 has started a petition to bring them here. And if you question the ability of a radio station survey to bring One Direction to Ottawa I will tell you that KNOTBSB didn’t have Ottawa on their tour stop either – until the same radio station presented a petition with 25K signatures.
