Maybe it’s because Sissy Spacek was just so good in this role. Maybe her shoes are just too big to fill but when I watched the trailer for the new ‘Carrie‘ remake starring Chloe Grace Moretz as the title character I was just a bit underwhelmed when we finally see her face. It looks a little overacted, no? It’s the pronounced breathing that’s bothering me. I think if she just stared at the camera it would be better. I like the trailer up until that point though, it’s just the visual of Chloe as Carrie that’s bothering me. I also don’t like that we don’t get to see Julianne Moore as Carrie’s mother either. I know the movie is about Carrie, but Julianne is the biggest name and I wanted to see her in the trailer. Have a look and let me know what you think.
