I haven’t read the book Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks that this movie is based on, but judging from the trailer I have a feeling it’s better than the movie.
The trailer for Safe Haven was sent to me yesterday and I just watched it. I was bored halfway through. I was bored watching a trailer. That never happens, especially not to me since seeing the coming attractions are normally my favourite part of going to see a movie. I think the issue here is Julianne Hough. I really don’t like Julianne Hough. I tried to give her a chance in Rock of Ages, but she just doesn’t have ‘leading lady’ appeal to me. And that’s saying a lot because I REALLY like Josh Duhamel. Not as much as I like Zac Efron, but still a lot. Like, a lot.
