A new trailer for Total Recall starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel was released today. It looks good, but I probably won’t go see it. Mostly because it looks like I’ve seen it before, and with the exception of Colin Farrell looking really good in it it doesn’t seem like it’s offering anything new. I also really hate movies that rely on so much CGI because it looks so fake. Like the scene in the trailer where they show the city and it’s all futuristic dystopian – I’d rather they just didn’t do that at all.
I also want to know why there’s Storm Troopers and the guys from I Am Robot in this movie. I know it’s a remake but couldn’t they come up with something that didn’t look like I’ve seen it in another movie? Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel both get pretty bad ass-y in this movie which I do like, but how much do you want to bet that Jessica schedules her wedding right around the release date so she can maximize her exposure? She really hasn’t had a hit movie yet, I have no doubt she’ll use her wedding to create a bit of noise around ‘Recall’.
